Technically, this post is a form of 'texting' the only difference is I am working from a keyboard, sitting at a desk that is ergonomically set for 'my' best posture and 'reach'. After watching I like to tell people "You should really get those thumbs checked out!" As an energy worker I am duly concerned with the affects of any electromagnetic spectrum from RF (radio frequencies) to ultraviolet and radiation energy that hit and over time can damage the body.
Cocking your head forward and down and holding one or both of your hands up is similar to other sports and occupational repetitive strain injury. It is not natural, and ergonomically not suited for helping the body and wellness. I am not aware of ‘exercises’ to help prepare you for this activity, except to cease doing it for relief.
In my energy bodywork sessions I am constantly checking the polarity and balance of most everyone, because we are around this low level bombardment of radiation just about anywhere we live and work. And it can affect your health and wellness, usually in a negative way.
Massage is another way to help muscles that ache in the neck and shoulders to go back to a normal non-stress condition. Chronic muscle soreness from ‘textitis’ should be the LEAST of your worries. Try to limit extended close sessions with your wireless devices, and get those fingers checked! (Or at least get in the habit of using a stylus.)
